What this Discord welcome bot template does
This workflow listens for the Member Joined event and immediately sends a personalized direct message using the new member's username and user ID. It runs on the Discord bot you connect to Noria, so the message uses your bot's name and avatar.

How to set it up

Connect your Discord bot
Create or select your Discord application, enable Server Members Intent, and connect the bot to Noria.

Import the workflow
Use the button above to open a copy in the visual editor. The trigger and message action are already connected.

Choose your server
Select the Discord server in the Member Joined trigger so Noria knows which join events should start the workflow.

Personalize and test
Edit the welcome text, keep the dynamic username variable, test with a non-admin account, then activate the workflow.

Post in a welcome channel
Replace Send Direct Message with Send Message and choose #welcome for a public greeting.
Assign a starter role
Connect an Add Role action after the trigger and choose the safe role every new member should receive.
Guide the next step
Link #rules, #roles, #introductions, or #support so the greeting helps the member move forward.
Notify your team
Add a second message action to record the join in a private staff channel without exposing it publicly.

Troubleshooting
The workflow does not run
Confirm that it is active, the correct server is selected, and the test account joined after activation.
The bot cannot see new members
Enable Server Members Intent in the Discord Developer Portal, then reconnect the bot.
The direct message fails
A member can block server DMs. Add a public channel message as a fallback when every newcomer must receive the instructions.
