Streamlabs Cloudbot does its job — but it's a module inside the Streamlabs suite, configured from the Streamlabs dashboard, designed to work best when you're all-in on that ecosystem. If you want a Streamlabs Cloudbot alternative that stands on its own, Noria is a free, no-code Twitch bot builder: it connects straight to your Twitch account, owes nothing to your streaming software, and the same bot posts to your Discord.
Why streamers look for a Cloudbot alternative
- Tied to the ecosystem — Cloudbot lives inside the Streamlabs dashboard. If you stream with OBS or Twitch Studio, or just don't want the whole suite, the bot comes with baggage.
- Preset modules — commands, timers, and mod tools are toggles with fixed shapes. An idea that doesn't fit a module doesn't happen.
- Twitch chat only — Cloudbot doesn't announce your stream in Discord or react to your YouTube channel.
How Noria is different
- Standalone — Noria talks to Twitch directly. No suite to install, nothing to change in your streaming setup, works identically with any broadcasting software.
- A builder, not modules — you wire triggers ("someone typed
!discord", "a viewer redeemed a reward") to actions ("reply in chat", "create a clip", "post to Discord") on a visual canvas. The logic is exactly what you build. - Cross-platform — one editor covers Twitch, Discord, and YouTube events, on your own connected accounts.
- Free in beta — every feature is unlocked during the open beta.
Rebuild the Cloudbot features you use
Each of these maps to real Noria nodes — connect your Twitch account first.
- Custom commands — a Chat Message trigger with a Prefix Filter of
!feeds a Send Chat Message reply. Use variables like{{username}}, add a Cooldown node, or restrict the trigger to moderators, subscribers, or VIPs. - Timers — a Schedule trigger (cron: every 30 minutes, hourly, weekdays only) connects to Send Chat Message or Send Announcement. See scheduled automation.
- Moderation — a Chat Message trigger with a Keyword Filter wired to Timeout User or Ban User, with Clear Chat one action away. A User Banned / Timed Out trigger can log every mod action to Discord.
- Sub, raid, and bits thank-yous — dedicated triggers for New Subscription, Re-subscription (minimum-months milestones), Gift Subscription, Bits Cheered, and Raid Received, each wired to your own thank-you flow — including a Send Shoutout for raiders.
- Clips on demand — the Create Clip action fires from a
!clipcommand, a redemption, or a bits threshold.
Points and rankings, the honest version
Cloudbot has a loyalty-points currency. Noria doesn't — no minting your own points, no store. What it has instead is arguably more native to Twitch:
- Channel point redemptions — the Channel Point Redeemed trigger reacts to Twitch's own points: filter by reward title, run any flow, then Update Redemption Status fulfills the reward or refunds the viewer.
- Real leaderboards — the Scores node keeps durable per-viewer tallies with a true Top-N ranking. Count a point per chat message, then have a Schedule trigger post the top 10 chatters every night — in chat or in Discord. More on data nodes in working with data.
Also missing, honestly: song requests / media share. If those are core to your stream, keep a dedicated tool for them alongside Noria.
Beyond Twitch chat
This is where a standalone builder pays off. From the same canvas:
- Go-live alerts in Discord — a Stream Goes Live trigger posts a rich embed to your announcement channel. Guide: Twitch live notification for Discord, or start from the Stream Live Alert template.
- Follower alerts — the Twitch New Follower Alert template thanks new follows.
- YouTube too — the same bot can announce when you go live on YouTube, no OAuth needed.
Switching from Cloudbot
- Connect your Twitch account to Noria.
- List the Cloudbot modules you actually use — usually commands, timers, and a few mod rules.
- Rebuild each as a workflow and test it live in the editor.
- Activate, then disable the overlapping Cloudbot modules so replies don't double up.
