Every control, explained
- Play / Search — type a title or paste a link; results appear as you type, and one click queues the track. If your Discord account is linked, the bot automatically follows you into whatever voice channel you're sitting in — otherwise, pick one from the channel picker.
- Playlists — paste a playlist link and every track queues at once, with a toast confirming how many were added.
- Pause / Resume — pauses in place; resume picks up exactly where you stopped.
- Skip / Previous — jump to the next track or back to the one before.
- Shuffle — randomizes the order of everything waiting in the queue.
- Loop — three modes: off, repeat the current track, or repeat the whole queue.
- Seek — click anywhere on the progress bar to jump to that timestamp.
- Volume — a slider with live feedback while you drag.
- Stop — ends playback.
- Resume last session — if playback ended unexpectedly (bot restart, disconnect), the dashboard offers to restore your previous track and queue in one click.
When the queue runs out, the bot leaves voice after a short idle period — that's intentional. Set loop to "queue" for continuous background music.
Managing the queue
The queue panel shows every upcoming track with its duration and who requested it. From there:
- Jump to any track to play it immediately.
- Remove any track without interrupting what's currently playing.
- Shuffle before a long session so the same opening songs don't play every time.
A typical game-night flow: paste a playlist before people arrive, hit shuffle, then let members add requests — anything that doesn't fit the mood, you remove in one click.
Share control with your community
You don't have to be the DJ all night. In the music dashboard, click Share control:
- Click Generate a share link and copy it.
- Post the link in your server. Anyone who opens it — no Noria account needed — can set a display name, search and add tracks, pause, and skip.
- Every request is labeled with the guest's name in the queue, so you can see who queued what.
The link is tied to that one server, so guests can't move your bot anywhere else. Regenerate invalidates the old link, and Revoke shuts sharing off entirely — useful when the party's over.
Set it up
- Connect your own Discord bot to Noria.
- Open Music Bot in your dashboard and pick a voice channel.
- Search for a track or paste a link to start the queue.
- Control playback from the dashboard, or share the queue link with your members.
Voice channel troubleshooting
- A voice channel is missing from the picker. The picker only shows channels your bot can actually join — if one is missing, the bot lacks Connect permission there. Fix the channel's permission overrides in Discord.
- The bot joins but stays silent. It needs Speak permission in that channel, and check it isn't server-muted.
- "Bot not connected" error. Your Discord bot is offline in Noria — reconnect it from the dashboard before using music.
- "Voice connection failed." A transient Discord voice issue — retry in a moment.
- The bot doesn't follow you into voice. Auto-follow needs your Discord account linked in Integrations so Noria can see which voice channel you're in. No link? Just pick the channel manually.
