When to use it
Use the Manual Trigger to start a workflow on demand while building and testing. It requires no provider plugin or connected account. Nodes further down the workflow may still need their own service connections.
Example
- Create an empty workflow.
- Add a Manual Trigger from the built-in steps.
- Connect its execution output to the next step.
- Run a test and inspect the execution result before publishing.
Common problems
If a later step does not run, check that its execution input is connected to this trigger's output. If that step requires an external account, configure the connection in the workflow settings and verify the account's permissions. A manual trigger does not grant permissions to other nodes.
